It is a cement-based overlay mixed with specific bonding agents to enhance its effectiveness. It is specially composed to be used on surfaces like sidewalks, walkways, parking areas, and driveways. To have a smooth and finishing touch it is usually applied with a smoothing trowel or rubber squeegee. Its preparation depends on the requirement or the surfaces on which it is to be applied, and hence the ratio of water would vary. Additionally, it also acts or is used as a protective layer to lessen the impact of deicing salts on concrete surfaces. It ultimately enhances the abrasion resistance when used on concrete and masonry substrates.
