What is Dymonic 100 used for?
Tremco Dymonic 100 is used for sealing moving joints and as a fluid applied flashing material in rough opening perimeters for fenestration/window, door and curtain wall applications. It is UV-stable and won't crack, craze or yellow due to UV exposure.
Can Tremco Dymonic 100 be used on damp and green concrete?
A unique feature of Dymonic 100 is it can be used on damp and green concrete. For application on green concrete, it should be applied 24 hours after the forms have been removed. All concrete sealers and curing agents need to be removed by grinding before applying the polyurethane sealant.
Concrete can be damp for application, however, it should not be wet to touch or be applied where there is standing water in or close to the joints. Testing the surface of the substrate is recommended by applying duct or masking tape. If the tape adheres to the substrate, the surface is dry enough to apply Dymonic 100 sealant. If there is no adhesion between the tape and substrate, repeat the tape test every 30 minutes.
