This STI SNS105W Smoke & Sound Acoustical Sealant is a high-quality acrylic latex sealant that is used for smoke, dust, and noise control.
STI SNS105W Smoke & Sound Acoustical Sealant is available in a single grade that has first-class caulking properties well as high build properties on vertical or overhead surfaces. Moreover, this sealant is free from PCBs and asbestos and is storage stable. The sealant does not separate nor shrink exceedingly when dried. The Smoke & Sound sealant adheres to all common construction and penetrant materials and contains a negligible solvent that may affect plastic pipes or cable jackets negatively. It is a water-based sealant that is easy to install, clean, and dispose of and remains flexible after applying for allowing movement. The sealant has extreme color stability and is non-halogenated, water-resistant, and ozone and UV-resistant. It is ideal to be applied for through-penetrations such as popes, conduits, etc., and membrane penetrations such as p-traps, outlet boxes, etc. in smoke-rated walls.
