Anchoring connections are the main agents of most fall prevention systems, underappreciated but vital components that firmly connect your equipment to the anchorage. The type of task you're doing will determine the anchor you use.
Anchorages are classified according to what they attach to (general/all-purpose, steel, concrete, roof, or specialized), whether they are stationary or transportable, and whether they are perpetual or detachable. They must all include a stable point of attachment for a full personal fall arrest system and be able to support a mass of 5,000 lbs. (22kN) or meet OSHA's 2-to-1 safety factor criteria.
